The new Easy NAC version 3.0 is here – now with integration to Bitdefender!

Network Access Control Solutions or NAC Solutions have always had a reputation of being costly, difficult to implement, time consuming, and too complex to get it in one go – not until Easy NAC entered the market.

Easy NAC is a NAC solution specifically designed to be simple, secure, and easy to deploy. It provides you with enhanced network security by preventing unknown devices, or those that do not comply to your security policies, from joining your network. Easy NAC also enforces baseline security, ensures BYOD devices are properly registered, and guest users are managed. Aside from that, it can also be integrated with Firewalls, Endpoint Security Solutions, APTs, and more to quickly detect and quarantine suspicious or infected devices.

What makes Easy NAC unique?

Here are the few reasons why Easy NAC is the most ideal network access control solution for SMEs or even large enterprises:

What’s new in Easy NAC version 3.0?

Easy NAC recently released its newest version which comes with several upgrades to its existing features and new integration options – most notably is the Bitdefender compatibility!

Bitdefender is known globally as the best cybersecurity solution that millions of businesses and security experts’ trust. Now, imagine Bitdefender’s power combined with Easy NAC, that is one powerful network security tool!

But the new features do not end there, here are some of the new functionalities in Easy NAC version 3.0:

New Customizable Dashboard

Visibility of all the devices on your network is foundational for any Network Access Control solution. Easy NAC’s web-based graphical user interface allows you to customize and highlight the device data most important to your organization. Adding a new widget to the dashboard, is as simple as adding a new report.

The dashboard groups all devices based on OS, roles, compliance, and Indications of compromise. It helps users visualize trends and alert administrators of high-risk devices. With its real-time device inventory, administrators can quicky drill-down to find devices of interest.

Support for High Availability

Easy NAC is deployed out-of-band which enables Easy NAC to have a simple fail-open design. Meaning if the CGX Access was to fail, it would not impact the network or end-user’s ability to work. The New High Availability option provides redundancy in the event an appliance or virtual appliance was to fail or be offline. HA is provided using a two-box design, where the primary appliance syncs its database and configuration with a passive backup appliance. If the backup appliance determines the primary appliance is offline, it will become active.

New Integration with Bitdefender

Easy NAC already has an extensive line of integrations with trusted Endpoint Protection Platforms, but its newest compatibility with Bitdefender solutions makes a powerful impact to network security. Now, non-compliant devices can be easily restricted at the point of network access without the need for agents – and with no additional costs!

Other integration options include: Carbon Black, ESET, Kaspersky, McAfee, Sophos, Symantec, Trend Micro, Microsoft Active Directory, BIGFIX, Ivanti, Kaseya, Manage Engine, Microsoft Intune, Starcat Software, and Windows Server Update Services.

These out-of-box integrations are available to all customers with no added licensing costs. For other EPP solutions, WMI or agents can be used to verify compliance.

Easy NAC’s E- mail Orchestration or Syslog Orchestration can also be used with many different types of Cybersecurity solutions for automated threat response. Any solution that can send event-based syslog messages or e-mail alerts can be configured to work with Easy NAC.

Support for VPN Protection

New In-line enforcement provides strong VPN protection that is easy to implement. The CGX appliance acts as a bridge, to block traffic from non-compliant endpoints. The appliance uses an outside Ethernet interface for the un-trusted network, and an inside Ethernet interface for the protected network. If an endpoint system requires access to the protected network, it must be assessed and follow security policies. If non-compliant, traffic from its IP address will be limited to remediation resources. Agents are required for this VPN protection.

Enhanced Agent Support

Easy NAC was designed to be agent-less, and agentless deployments are common. Agents are not required for typical compliance checks like Anti-virus and Patch compliance. However, for advance or more detailed compliance checks agents can be used.

In Version 3.0, agents can be used to report all types of compliance requirements, including desire requirements.
