ActiveImage Protector™ for RDX is a backup solution designed to use RDX QuikStor/QuikStation hardware. The combined use of these solutions results in an affordable disaster recovery scheme which prepares you in the event of a computer failure, natural disasters, fire accidents, ransomware attack, and other threats.

You can connect to RDX QuikStor through USB3 cable and RDX QuikStation via iSCSI to Windows and Linux Operating Systems. This solution comes with a Backup Operation Guide which gives you a detailed description on how to install RDX QuikStor/QuikStation and ActiveImage Protector™, as well as basic backup and recovery operating features with some examples.

ActiveImage Protector™ for RDX is featured with automated backups stored in RDX cartridge. The removed cartridge should be saved in an offsite safe place (sending it to a remote site and saving in a fire-resistant and water-proof vault.). In the event of a system failure, you can quickly restore the backup file in RDX cartridge in remote site to reboot the system.

What Can Server for RDX Do?

Save Backups in
RDX Cartridges

Server for RDX automatically stores backups on RDX cartridges. These can then be saved at a secure offsite location (such as a fire- and water-resistant offsite vault). In the event of a system failure, you can restore the backup file from the RDX cartridge locally, or at a remote site for quicker access.

Check Bootability Through BootCheck™

PBootCheck™ provides confidence that your backup images are bootable from local or remote Hyper-V hosts. BootCheck™ confirms bootability of a virtual machine directly from a backup image file.

Boot Backup Images Instantly Using HyperBoot™

Using real-time virtual conversion technology, HyperBoot bypasses the lengthy physical to virtual conversion process, and boots the backup as a virtual machine in minimal time. Changes made while running the virtual machine from a backup are also saved as differential files.

Image-based Backup

ActiveImage Protector™ backs up your entire machine, including the OS, settings, data files and applications, and access rights into a single image file, so when disaster strikes, select a backup image to quickly restore for a fast and complete recovery.

RDX Cartridge Autoloader Mode

The combined use of RDX QuikStation disk autoloader mode enables you to automatically rotate RDX cartridge.

Save Storage Space with IDDC

The Inline Data Deduplication Compression (IDDC) feature simultaneously compresses data and eliminates duplicate files. It also has no impact on backup time and does not require any deduplication hardware or additional software purchase.

Faster Recovery and Cold Backups on Windows PE- and Linux-based Boot Environments

Perform faster disaster recovery and cold back-ups with ActiveImage Protector’s™ Windows PE and Linux based boot environments (AIPBE). The Windows PE based boot environment builder utilizes Microsoft ADK or AIK, and Linux CentOS.

Manage Everything with ActiveVisor™

ActiveVisor™ is a Central Management Console which provides a visual representation of overall system. It sends email notifications of client backup status, monitors storage space availability of devices, and administer deployment of agents, schedules, and tasks. System administrators also save time, and reduce costs by managing ActiveImage Protector™ agent settings providing peace of mind that continuous and reliable backups are performed.

Automatically Eject RDX Cartridges Upon Backup Completion

Backups are saved to a cartridge including one full backup and incremental backups created during the week (an image set). At the beginning of a new week the cartridge is replaced to maintain a rotating set of backups.
